Volunteering at The Gate
Since its beginning, The Gate Youth Association has been a largely volunteer-run organization. Today we have up to 90 volunteers. From our board of directors to our craft table staff, we value the leaders who stand alongside us as we all work diligently together to carry out our vision and mission.
A few ways to be involved with The Gate…
Share your passion with a teen or group of them. From crafts and 3-D printing to cooking and baking. Volleyball and basketball are other activities that are popular! If there is something you are passionate about and want to share with the youth of our community, please contact us!
On-line checking, taxes, car maintenance, budgeting and saving for retirement, to name a few
Be a listener, resource navigator, mentor, or homework accountability point person to a youth.
Garden projects, making new friends at the care center next door, or cooking a community breakfast on Saturday mornings at The Gate
- Cook with or for teens
- Assist with one-time events
- Lend us your professional knowledge/wisdom
- Mentor a student in your vocation or profession
- Nurture the flower beds around The Gate
