About School Year Clubs

Clubs offered at the Gate change each season. Some clubs you will need to sign up for and others will be drop in.

Signing up for a club means that there is only a certain amount of spots for students to join. Students should be committed for the duration of the club.

Drop in means first come, first serve. There will be a sign up sheet at the front desk. Once spaces are full, students can add their name to the waitlist. We call on the waitlist if there is a no- show or if we have enough time for a second group. If there is no sign up, ask the front desk for help.

Fall 2024 School Year Clubs

Acres of Hope

Tuesdays 4-5:30

September 17 through on-going

The Gate partners with another organization called Acres of Hope Ranch. On a typical day, teens who attend hang out with horses, (brushing, cleaning, exercising, and eventually saddling and riding), participate in arts & crafts, and have meaningful conversations with instructors about various topics.

There are limited spots available.

3D Printing

Wednesdays 3:45-5:00

September 11 through November 13

3D Printing has been super popular over the last few years. Students love building their own creations and seeing them come to life!

Rock Climbing

Wednesdays 3:45-5:30

October 9 through November 20

+ November 19 (Tuesday)

The Gate partners with the town college, Western Oregon University. Once a week, you get to climb their 40-foot climbing wall. Transportation provided.

Auto Mechanics 101

Wednesday Mornings 9:00 am -11:00am

September 17 through December 11

Learn how to change oil, breaks, tires, and other parts of cars. Occastionally, a fixer upper project to work on that students are 100% able to help with.

No need to commit to any days or times. We've got projects to work on and we need help. If your child has no experience in mechanics, we highly suggest applying for the Automotive 101 club first.
